Serving in our Neighborhood

Trinity responds to the call of Jesus to serve. We support many causes such as:

  • Alameda All Faiths Coalition
  • Alameda Food Bank
  • Alameda Point Collaborative
  • Alameda Warming Shelter
  • Midway Shelter
On the fourth Sunday of each month, Trinity has committed to providing the evening meal to residents at Midway Shelter. This consists of providing and delivering a main dish, salad, dessert, and juice and milk for about 20-25 people on Sunday afternoon. A sign up sheet is in the fellowship hall. You may sign up to provide the whole meal or any part of the meal. For more information, contact the Mission and Service committee chairperson.
  • Senior Program
Trinity provides a weekly program and meal for senior citizens of Alameda. Trinity Seniors meet every Thursday (except for a summer break) from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. This program offers guest speakers from the health/medical, community resource, business, art and legal fields. Also offered are social activities, blood pressure screening, Tai Chi exercise, musical entertainment and travel slide presentations. A home-cooked lunch ($5) is served at noon. Joanne Robinson is the coordinator of this program.
  • Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (WELCA)
WELCA includes all women of the congregation as members and has, in the past, held retreats for the women of the congregation.
