What To Expect
What Happens When I Walk In?
You will be greeted warmly by a couple of our parishioners when you enter the church. You will receive a copy of our bulletin that has the words of the service printed in it as well as which hymns we are singing. If you have any questions about how the service goes, where to sit, where the restrooms or nursery are located, please just ask. We want to make your visit comfortable. We will not think it is strange that you have questions. We are here to help.
What am I supposed to wear?
Attire is varied in church just as it is when you are in the neighborhood. You will see a few people dressed up, but you will also see plenty of jeans. Come in whatever you are most comfortable wearing in a gathering of people.
What about Communion?
The Sacrament of Holy Communion is celebrated at each service every Sunday. We celebrate with an open table. All are welcome to receive Communion. The cup we serve is non-alcoholic wine and gluten-free wafers are available. Children who have not yet received instruction in Holy Communion are invited to come forward with their families for a special blessing.
Is Your Building Accessible?
Yes! We are located on the corner of Central Ave. and Morton St. If you enter our complex from Morton St. you will find we are wheelchair and walker accessible. You may also use the newly installed ramp into our sanctuary located on the west end of our building off Central.
